Founded in 1962, Worcester Bosch is one of the most popular and most well-respected boiler manufacturers on the market. Its range of models includes gas and LPG compatible combi, regular and system boilers, as well as internal and external oil-fired combi, regular and system boilers.

Prices tend to be at the top end of the scale but for a premium price you get a premium boiler. Worcester Bosch boilers are known for their reliability and impressive build quality. They are also covered by parts and labour warranties of up to 12 years (depending on the model and whether it is installed by a Worcester Bosch accredited installer).

This level of quality is reflected in the number of awards Worcester Bosch has won over the years: its boilers are regular winners in the annual Which? awards, including winning the ‘Best Buy’ award several years in a row.

Combi boilers connect directly to your mains water, providing both hot water and central heating. This removes the need to install a cold water storage tank and hot water cylinder, meaning you end up saving a lot of space inside your home.

Worcester Bosch offers a range of combi boilers to suit homes of different sizes and budgets. Smaller output sizes are more suited to homes with only 2-3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, whereas the 35kW output models are ideal for houses with 4-5 bedrooms and more than 1 bathroom.

All of Worcester Bosch’s combi boilers are ErP A-rated for efficiency, which could save you a lot of money on your energy bills when compared to an older, more inefficient boiler. They are also compact and can be wall-mounted, meaning they can be fitted inside a kitchen cabinet or bedroom cupboard.

Worcester Bosch regular boilers

Regular boilers, also known as traditional boilers, are typically what you tend to find in older properties. Rather than connecting directly to the mains water supply, a regular boiler is supplied by a cold water storage tank that sits above the boiler (usually in the loft).

The water is heated and either stored in a hot water cylinder ready for when you run a shower or turn the tap, or used for central heating.

If you already have a regular boiler and need to replace it, the cheapest and easiest solution is usually to buy a new regular boiler. This is because you will already have a tank and cylinder installed, as well as the existing pipework.

With a system boiler, you benefit from being able to supply hot water on demand without the need for a cold water storage tank. Unlike a regular boiler, a system boiler connects directly to the mains water supply, which the boiler heats and stores in a hot water cylinder.

If you have more than one bathroom in your property or have a high demand for hot water, a system boiler will be able to meet your needs (as long as your hot water cylinder is big enough and doesn’t run out of hot water).

There are roughly 4 million homes in the UK that aren’t connected to the gas network, with these properties relying on other fuel sources to supply heat and hot water.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar Heatslave II combi oil boilers are available in three sizes of output: 15kW, 25kW and 32kW. They are also available as internal or external models, giving you the option of installing your boiler inside or outside your home.

Regular oil boilers work in exactly the same way as gas oil boilers, so you will still need to use it alongside as a cold water storage tank and hot water cylinder.

Worcester Bosch manufactures four models of regular oil boilers, available in outputs ranging from 18kW to 70kW.

The Worcester Bosch Greenstar Danesmoor is available in three models and each model has outputs of 18kW, 25kW and 32kW. The standard model is floor-standing, the Utility range is specially designed to be wall-mounted and installed inside a kitchen cabinet, and the external model can be fitted outside of your home.
