Daikin is a Japanese company that was founded in 1924. Although predominantly known for manufacturing air conditioning systems, Daikin also produces a small range of gas condensing combi boilers.

One of the main benefits of a combi boiler is that everything you need to produce hot water is contained in the unit. Unlike regular and system boilers, you don’t need to install a water cylinder and/or a storage tank at the same time, which frees up valuable space in your home.

 

Combi boilers connect directly to the main water supply and are very energy efficient as they are able to heat and deliver hot water on demand.

 

Daikin manufactures one range of combi boilers: the D2CND. It has an energy efficiency rating of 93% and is available in three outputs: 24kW, 28kW and 35kW.

 

The first thing you notice about the D2CND is its size. With a dimension of 400x255x580mm (24kW model) it is one of the smallest combi boilers on the market. Combined with its ability to be wall-mounted, this means you can install it almost anywhere in your home. It’s also been designed with installers and servicing in mind, as all parts can be accessed by simply removing the front panel.

 

The D2CND is fitted with lots of quality components, including an SWEP plate heat exchanger and a Grundfos pump. It’s also equipped with the Daikin eye, a system that monitors the performance and reliability.
